Haru Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 20, 2026
Haru ("the app") is published by Schweyer Tech ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Haru is a free, unofficial companion to the Switch On Diet program. It is not medical advice and makes no health or weight-loss claims.
The short version
- We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or a password.
- You use Haru through an anonymous account that exists only to save your program progress.
- We don't use analytics or advertising, and we don't sell or share your data for advertising or tracking.
- The only company that processes your data on our behalf is Supabase, which hosts the app's database and authentication.
- You can permanently delete your account and all your data at any time from within the app.
Information we collect
Anonymous account identifier. When you open Haru, the app creates an anonymous account so your progress can be saved and synced. This account is a random identifier; it is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal identity.
Program data you create in the app. This includes:
- your program start date and current phase,
- your daily checklist activity (meals and shakes marked done, skipped, or missed),
- fasting logs, and
- day swaps and other progress within the 28-day cycle.
Limited technical data for security. To operate the service and prevent abuse, our hosting provider (Supabase) processes standard technical information such as your IP address transiently — for example, to rate-limit account creation. We do not use this to build a profile of you.
Information we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or password.
- No precise location.
- No Apple Health / HealthKit data.
- No contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
- No advertising identifiers, and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
How we use your information
We use the information solely to:
- provide and sync your program tracking across sessions and devices,
- operate, maintain, and secure the app, and
- diagnose and fix technical problems.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it for cross-app tracking. (For App Store "App Tracking Transparency" purposes, Haru does not track you.)
Who we share information with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the app, under agreements that limit them to that purpose:
- Supabase — database hosting and anonymous authentication.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
Data retention and deletion
Your program data is stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) and kept for as long as your account exists, so the app can show your progress. You stay in control of it:
- Reset your current cycle with Profile → Start over. This clears the current 28-day cycle so you can begin again; your account remains.
- Permanently delete everything with Profile → Delete my data. This erases your anonymous account and all associated program data from our servers. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
Please note: removing the app from your device does not delete your data from our servers — it only removes the credentials saved on your device. To erase your data, use the in-app Delete my data option before deleting the app.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because Haru holds only anonymous, self-entered program data and no contact details, we may be unable to identify your specific records without information you provide. To exercise any right, contact us via the support page and we will respond as required by applicable law. We do not sell your personal information.
Children's privacy
Haru is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from people under 18. The program involves fasting and dietary restriction and is intended for adults. If you believe someone under 18 has used the app, contact us and we will delete the associated data.
Data security
We rely on industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the app and our servers and access controls on the database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
International data transfers
Our service provider may store and process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for any international transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above and post the updated policy at this URL. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
